Sea-facing home in Bandra

the bold and the beautiful

A sea-facing home in Bandra, designed around one idea: to be bold, beautiful and unapologetically personal.

The apartment celebrates its view, its light and its location. We embraced colour, texture and statement moments to create a home that feels vibrant yet balanced.

From the rich blush and warm terracotta to the deep greens and bold accents, every choice was made to bring energy and personality into the space.

Chapter 01

Blush, and what it does at six o’clock

Blush is a difficult colour to use without it turning too sweet. Here it is held down by weight elsewhere: a burgundy lacquered console running low along one wall, a dark timber jali screen, deep terracotta in the bedrooms. The pale walls are the ground, not the subject.

Through the middle of the day the rooms read as a pale blush. As the sun drops they warm through peach into something closer to clay, and the lamps take over. The apartment is designed for the entire sequence.

Chapter 02

One room that raises its voice

Against all that restraint, a single bathroom is lined floor to ceiling in handmade green tile with brass and gold. It is the one place in the apartment where the volume goes up, and it works precisely because nothing around it competes.

The rest of the pattern is textile and texture: block-printed cotton on the beds, fluting run across the walls, cushions layered in coral and rose. Pattern is something you can change your mind about, which is why it lives on cloth here rather than on the walls.
